CATEX Releases Initial Transaction Processing Data for its Pivot Point Systems Worldwide

Princeton, March 2, 2007 – The Catastrophe Risk Exchange, Inc. (CATEX) today released selected, aggregate transaction processing data generated on its Pivot Point Reinsurance & Insurance Transaction Systems during the 2007 renewal season. The following aggregate data reflects only transaction processing occurring during the period beginning October 1, 2006 and ending February 28, 2007:
• 24,889 reinsurance & insurance programs were placed on the systems• 33,847 reinsurance layers, policies or certificates were placed on the systems• 54,069 reinsurers & markets were added to individual placements on the system• 1,204 bordereau reports were uploaded to & processed on the systems• 57,662 invoices & statements were posted on the system• 287 claims were added & processed on the systems• 256,358 ledger transactions were posted to the systems• 17,921 documents totaling 5.4 gigabytes were added to the systems• 79,296 communications were generated on the system• 1,455 approved system users were added to the systems• 27,396 separate system work sessions were recorded by system servers.
Over two dozen Pivot Point Systems are currently licensed for use, and these systems are operating in 11 countries spanning three continents including Europe and North America. Each Pivot Point System is completely web based, and CATEX regularly updates the Pivot Point System with functionality enhancements posted to its web servers.
